Disney is something I get asked about from time to time. And while there are travel agents out there who specialize in nothing BUT Disney (and know waaaay more about Disney than I ever will), I DO have a few tips and tricks up my sleeve on the best way to “do” Disney.
If you’re considering visiting Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida, my best advice is to book your stay at the Four Seasons Orlando Disney. Here’s why.
Because it’s a Four Seasons
Around the world, the Four Seasons hotels and resorts are always fabulous for kids and families. From cute welcome amenities to kids clubs, activities and a great kids menu, the Four Seasons properties are always a hit with families.
The pool area is fabulous at the Four Seasons Orlando Disney, worth spending a full day there relaxing for sure! Kids love the twisty water slide and amazing lazy river and parents love the comfortable pool cabanas and great service throughout the area.
The Four Seasons Orland Disney is IN the Magic Kingdom
It’s not one of the Disney-owned properties but it IS in the park. Guests of the Four Seasons have access to a free shuttle to all of the parks. Pricing at the Four Seasons is comparable to that of the Disney-owned hotels, but it’s a much nicer property than the Disney properties. Overall, way better value for money than the Disney-owned properties.
You can book “park view” rooms, which include with lovely balconies and offer a nice opportunity to view the nighty fireworks right from your hotel room (a good idea if you have very young kids who won’t make it inside the park that late at night.)
On-site Disney Desk
When you book a stay at the Four Seasons, it’s also super easy to book Disney park tickets and other activities within the parks. There is a Disney Desk right on site. When I book clients at the Four Seasons, I simply make one more call to set up everything (tickets, dinner reservations, etc). Then, upon check in, clients are simply directed to the desk where they can collect a magic band (a bracelet that is loaded with your tickets, etc). Super easy!
And, if you need anything while on site, simply swing by the Disney desk and they are ready to help.
Four Seasons Character Breakfast
As you begin researching Disney, you’ll start to hear about “character dining.” Basically what this means is an opportunity for kids to dine with people dressed up as characters from various Disney movies. Two times a week (Thursday and Sunday), there is a “Goofey and Friends” character breakfast at the Four Seasons. This breakfast is widely considered to be one of the best among all of the character dining experiences throughout Disney! If you’re staying at the Four Seasons it’s easy to wake up and head down first thing in the morning (seatings start at 7:30am) so you can still get into the park with plenty of time to enjoy a full day.
PLUS – when you book the Four Seasons with me I can get you a $72 credit per day to be used towards breakfast (one of the many Virtuoso amenities I’m able to exclusively offer to clients who book with me and you can’t get if you book online!). This credit can also be used towards the character breakfast, which will nicely offset the cost for a family of 4.
